Beto's excellent adventure drips with white male privilege

White Privilege amounts to a handful of characteristics that are real when considered across a population, they just aren’t what the Left (and a lot of the “Right”) is willing to talk about. Higher IQ, lower time preference, better impulse control, the ability to think abstractly. Across populations, these attributes allow whites to excel at high rates in societies with institutions created by white people. That’s not exactly shocking.

Anyone familiar with Asian societies would have to lie to himself to believe that Asian Privilege doesn’t exist in those societies. Think it helps to be a Jew in Israel? It likely does, and quite a bit. Think that Turks have an advantage in Turkey? If you are in a society where the institutions were founded by people like you, you will have an advantage over the stranger at the gate. Societies are not built on exceptions. People make civilizations, not the other way around.

Good to see libs eating their own. This guy is a loser. Nothing says Presidential like an Irishman pretending to be latino.

Actually, if the Democrats were smart, they'd rally behind Beto. He could actually win. He's a likable enough guy who doesn't repulse independent voters (a big problem for Democrats). He's happy and optimistic. He's got a mountain of money and a well-oiled campaign machine already in place.

But they're not smart. Beto has a "white guy" problem so the Dems will rally behind an angry bomb-thrower like Castro or Harris or an uninspiring geriatric establishment hack like Biden.

I think BeetleJuice got his mission wrong. He went on a trip to “clear his mind” but it should have been “to clear his behind”, get all that Marxist crap out so he can think “clearly now”. Never gonna happen!!

I’m exercising my white privilege right now by getting up at 4:30 am so I can drive 39 miles through urban traffic to be at my desk before 7:30 where I will compete with people a bit over half my age to keep a job I don’t really like but desperately need.

At about 1 I’ll leave my offfice, drive another 30 miles so I can meet with a client who may or may not buy something from me. I found this prospect by spending a day knocking on doors in the freezing cold having about 25 doors slammed in my face until 1 person, this prospective client, said he’d look at a proposal.

I do that 3 days a week, rain or shine, cold or hot.

Then I’ll spend the rest of the afternoon doing the same thing hoping that 1 other person will give me an opportunity.

I’ll most likely make it home around 6 or so. Did I mention we are expecting an ice Storm this afternoon? Oh, and the high temperature today will be about 30 today.

Oh yea, I’m so privileged.
