The CIA inserts its people as gatekeepers in the media: News editors are powerful people and so are the Polling companies. As for bribes, I remember payola schemes used by agencies to make a singer look like a hot hot hot pop music star. And what about the box office figures at Variety? And the NYT Best Seller list? We get manipulated all day long.

Politically, one of the biggest "manipulations" was from the Abortion Activists 50 years ago now.
