When I googled King the first thing that came up was a long election season “King is racist” hit piece on him by The Guardian. This has been in the works a long time. Anything he said remotely controversial was going to get this response from the GOPe.
Yep. King had a target on his back long before the NYT piece. He was supposed to lose like Roy Moore did after being labeled persona non grata within the party and seeing all of his support dry up.
"How is Steve King winning!?!?" was one of the election night cries that few were paying attention to.
