I have no sympathy because nobody forced him to sit down for a 56 minute interview with them.

So it is King's fault that the NYT distorted his remarks and painted him as a racist, bigot?

Who else do you have no sympathy for? Don Jr. for agreeing to a meeting with a Russian lawyer? President Trump for his inappropriate locker run language? King is the victim. He is being unfairly demonized.

Yes, it’s his fault. It’s not like he made a speech to the Rotary Club and they then spun it. He voluntarily sat down and ran his mouth with them for a solid hour. What did he think he was going to accomplish by doing that?

Agree 100%. I won’t join this fragging party.

The fragging of King is another example as to why conservative principles have not been advanced since Reagan. This is pure Alinsky hit job on King and it’s sad to see many hobbyist conservatives buy the GOPe/Dem gaslighting.

Those other examples are completely different. Don Jr. did not invite the New York Times to his meeting with the Russian lawyer. POTUS did not think anyone was listening when he was talking to Billy Bush. This idiot purposely and voluntarily sat down with a New York Times reporter and ran is mouth for an hour. Whatever negative consequences that come to him after doing that are entirely his own fault.

If he said something supportive of white nationalism then I don’t care what happens to him. My problem is it seems that he was referring to Western civilization following comments about conservatives unfairly being called white nationalists. One really has to wonder what is the chance that he would tell The New York Times that he believes white nationalism is a good thing? I think the chances of that are 0. I really regret if the White House had to get involved just like George Bush denounced William Bennett when bennett had said exactly the opposite of what he was being accused. In that case bennett was counseling against anyone wanting more black abortions and it was twisted that he was advocating abortions for black babies. That was a real injustice. I had to listen to leftists who want black babies aborted attacking William Bennett claiming that he wanted such a thing when in fact he was 100% against abortion. So The Killers of black babies accused pro life bill bennett of wanting black abortions. If this is a similar case, I’m really sad the White House felt it had to take this step. But I also have some faith in this White House making a correct decision.
