She was supposedly very well educated, had a great mind, and was “sultry”.
"Sultry" being the ancient equivalent of "She could suck a golf ball through a 20-foot garden hose!"

No..."sultry" as exuding sexuality/passion.

The gossips of the day went into overdrive, vis-a-vis Julius' private life, and yet, though they wrote a whole LOT about Julius's sexual proclivities, there isn't that kind of "talk" about Cleopatra...and yes, I have read the equivalent of today's N.Y. Post's "PAGE SIX" in Latin.

What was talked about, is what a great conversationalist she was and how captivating, whilst in discourse with men, talking to them on their own level. Most women, of that time, weren't educated that well.

Livia, August Caesar's wife was another well educated woman, of that time period.
