With rare exceptions, a Gillette ad that involves anything other than razors and shaving is likely to be a disaster.
Where he came from, they at one time thought it appropriate to incinerate widows on the funeral pyres of their dead husbands.
Until General Sir Charles James Napier put an end to it.

Gillette just pulled a “Last Jedi” maneuver.
Since Millenial snowflake guys typically sport scruffy beards, Gilette really shot itself in both feet and in the arse with this.
Bizarre journalism. First it says that the ad split online opinion. A ratio of 10% to 90% is hardly split.
Nicely done.
Yep. That is the root. Good post, FreedomPoster.
Good post.
The stupidity of the Gillette ad is mindboggling. Here you have a male grooming product that relies on testosterone for success and the numbskulls wish it away. Of all the lame-brained shoot yourself in the foot marketing ads, this one tops the list. Madison Avenue wussies reside in another universe.
Walgreen’s disposable multi-blades are the bomb....and a lot cheaper.
PG the company that brought you toxic shock syndrome now has toxic masculinity. Maybe Gillette will market a male tampon?
Gillette has come a long way from the “toxic masculinity” of the past.

And yet the article writer says the opinion online is split. Makes sound like the pluses and minuses are almost equal they are not. Looks like opinions are 10 to 1 in favor of throwing this me to krapp under the bus along with everybody who promotes it
Pabst Blue Ribbon for me.
What were we talking about?
I think Schick are better razors. The multiblade gilett ones are like plowing a field. Way too expensive as well. The little Bic single blades are pretty darn good as well.
Please cancel your Harry’s order. Ten times more progressive than Gillette. I was about to order from them last night and then did a little research on the founders. Anti-Second Amendment, pro-Obama, pro-Dreamers, pro-”Pride” month, etc.
It is dead to me!
P&G stock up with the market.
Thanks for the info about Harry’s.
The blades look good, and my principal motive at this moment is to punish Gillette, not to align my purchasing with every company’s views.
I will be trying other alternatives as well.
