Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A person of interest is in police custody after Rochester Police were called about a reported firearm in a home Monday morning.
The initial call came in shortly before 7 a.m. about a neighbor who claimed to have seen a shotgun in a home on Farmington Road.

Everyone seems to think that Upstate NY, the state outside the NYC/Albany area, is just one big suburb of NYC.
They’re almost shocked to find out how rural it is and some parts, especially the North Country (Adirondack Park) is downright desolate.
Parts of the Southern Tier, south of the Finger Lakes is, too.
That story reeks of Swatting
I have friends who used to live there.
Rochester is way out of that jurisdiction.
I don't see how they had any authority to act. It would either be the country sheriff or the state troopers.
As I re-read that, it does seem that way.
Still an over reaction, it seems to me.
Farmington Road is in east Rochester
100%... there’s GOT to be more to the story
Thanks for the info. I assumed it was the village of Farmington. Closer to Pittsford and Monroe Avenue area. I grew up in Rochester. Haven’t lived there since 1971, and glad of it.
i still have friends there so we go a couple three times a year but lately we’ve been meeting them at the Del Lago casino since it’s ~halfway
beats the hell out of driving to west Roch

Thank you for the update

This story is VERY poorly written. Thousands of New York state hunters wait at the edge of their seats for an update that makes sense.
I live in Rome, NY. Haven’t been to Del Lago yet. Usually meet friends from Cicero, NY at Turning Stone Casino which is about 20 minutes from me. I get out to Ontario, NY a few times a year to visit my sister-in-law. I’m the only one left in my family, so don’t get to Rochester anymore. My oldest son lives in Troy, NY. My youngest son lives in Indiana. Do you remember Don & Bob’s? I worked on Elmwood Avenue, and we used to go to the one on Monroe Avenue in Pittsford for lunch. After I moved out of the area, on my trips back I’d take my kids there, and buy a couple quarts of their hot sauce, and throw it in the freezer. Now I make my own with the recipe I found online. Brings back great memories of the good food they served.
100%... theres GOT to be more to the story

You surely dont expect them to report that the average IQ of recently hired news reporters is about 85, do you? Thats the rest of this baffling and moronic story.
It was Farmington ROAD not Farmington. Those were Rochester City Cop cars in the driveway.
don’t remember D&B, we usually goto Sticky Lips for BBQ
100%
Don & Bob’s was a standard hotdog and hamburger joint. They called their burgers “ground rounds”. There was one at Sea Breeze amusement park, and the one on Monroe Avenue. If you’ve heard of Bill Gray’s, or Tom Wahl’s in the area, it was very similar to them. Several years after D&B’s closed, a new restaurant called “Don’s Original” open on Monroe Avenue, not far from the original restaurant. Think I only ate there once.
Wish we had some decent BBQ places around here. If I want BBQ, I have to visit my son in Troy. There’s a Dinosaur BBQ there. There’s the original restaurant in Syracuse, but I’ve never been to it, and I rarely go there anyway. When I visit my son in Indiana, we go to City BBQ. Very good food.
Man accused of pointing shotgun at neighbor's home on Farmington Rd.
