Good grief. You cannot resist aspersions even if they are unfounded. Of all the Libertarians I have ever met, none have appeared to be pot smokers or even mentioned that issue. A Libertarian is not a Libertine.
After half a century of ongoing drug abuse it is clear that the "War on Drugs" is a failure. I believe that we need to make a drastic pivot to decriminalization of the individual user which would then allow treatment programs to work without the criminal stigma of prison. A person caught in illicit drug use is more concerned in hiding it from family, friends and authorities than in seeking help from a pastor, boss or 12 step program.
Continue interdiction of the suppliers (especially with the Border Wall) and prosecution of the drug traffickers to control the flow on the streets. It is certain there is a vastly greater number of illicit drug users who are not Libertarians than are.
