I read somewhere last night that the purpose of the trip was for the Dems to meet with PR’s governor to try to assess the need for additional “assistance” from the U.S. for lingering damage done by Hurricane Maria. The implication in the article was that this would be telegraphed as another of Trump’s “failures”. In fact if memory serves, it was the Puerto Rican unions and government who at the time of the storm prevented U.S. ships loaded with emergency supplies from docking at the ports—and that this was done to embarrass Trump.
I understand when you are talking about Sheeple. But I am also amazed at the level of “tune in” on this. I am White. I had occasion yesterday to encounter a Black man about 50 years old. I know this is anecdotal but it blew me away. He was providing a service and we were talking and the shop TV was on and the president was being shown and captions were on. This huge guy turned to me and said “ do you think they will impeach him?”” Oh Oh “ I thought. Careful Mike!! “ Well sir yes , I think they will try”, I said. Then he said it.” For what? trying to build a wall ? “. I went on to see that he was 100% behind Trump’s courageous effort. He even said” We build walls because we love those on the inside not because we hate those on the outside” ( the most overlooked profound statement in my life) Then we talked about LEGAL immigration being good if based on MERIT.God Bless America.
