Russia has been, and is the Venezuelian “bus driver”.

So does this mean we’re going to go in to Venezuela to force regime change, then nation build?

Laying groundwork for a coup. Bazil recognized this opposition leader as the prez a few days ago. Probably Colombian military doing the boots in. Let them clean Venezuela it up. We spent a lot training them.

Look at Chile then and now.

They elected a full blown Communist in Allende, then could not get rid of him.

Pinochet not only got the job done but propelled Chile from second world to first world in just a little over a generation. They have a model privatized version of social security which not only works, it works well.

Yeah some of the leftist retard politicians have grabbed power in elections which have flowed back and forth, but never held it for long enough to actually reverse the dead end road which Allende had them on. They have to settle for naming a road or government building for Allende here and there as sort of a poke in the eye to Pinochet.

But nobody other than a lunatic fringe here and there wants to go back because Pinochet's policies have built such a strong middle class in Chile.

We should also remember Maduro’s Russian pals and their possibility of basing L.R. bombers with 3M-14 Kalibr missiles there.

Bolton better shape up quick. The president ordered us out of Syria. This jack ass acts like he never heard it. GET THE HELL OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST AND BUILD THE DAMNED WALL!

Our agents of change are already there. We just can’t help ourselves.I am tired of regime change. It usually means money for the military industrial complex. Dead American sons for regular folks.

I need to learn more about Pinochet - he seems to be thoroughly demonized and I'd like to know the whole story. I remember Fujimori and thought that was a interesting deal that a Japanese dude was running a south America Country.

We now have the benefit of history and can look back in retrospect - then compare it what has happened with Chavez, Maduro, Evo Morales, Daniel Ortega and many others. Perhaps a movie in this called How to Create and Fix Sh*tholes

“...I used to think Carter a good man...”

Back in the day, Adm. Hyman Rickover personally interviewed every officer being considered for duty in our nuclear submarine force. A very intense interview to say the least. I’ve often thought that in approving Carter, Adm. Rickover screwed up at least once.

I hope not. We should only do this to countries that directly threaten our security. And Mexico is such an animal. The lives and money spent in the Middle East would have been better served ridding Mexico of corrupt politicians and drug lords and revitalizing their economy. They are natural resource rich and Mexicans overall have a good work ethic. There is no reason they cannot have a standard of living equal to the US and Canada.

Bolton? Why is it Bolton? Our President can freely walk on down to Bolton if displeased seeking him to step up the pace. Your argument should then be with our President and not Bolton. Just like the DOJ, folks blame Congress as “do nothing” or “Kabuki” when we see articles covering Congress calling in so and so to testify. I say to both, Bolton is controlled by our President and Congress is doing its job of investigating, legislation and oversight. As Trump controls Bolton he does the DOJ as well. The DOJ has had more than enough evidence uncovered by Congress through testimony that anyone could convene a Grand Jury and obtain indictments. If we aren’t pulling out of Syria fast enough and we aren’t getting indictments it’s because our President doesn’t want either. It’s not Bolton and it’s not Congress you should take issue with.

There is wisdom in what you say. But I see Trump fighting deep state crap. Look at Mattis. Total deep state lackey. Trump ordered him to the wall with Troops and he gets down there and directly counter mans the presidents Order!! I think that is why he was fired. That and the waste in Syria. Nickie Haley was out of control in the UN blaming Assad for “chemical attacks” when we all knew is was false flag to get us more embedded in Syria. Trump came with little deep state alert and using practical common sense and tactics against seditionists and political assassins trying to keep power. He is making tremendous progress. He must crush the anti wall globalist and he will have been our greatest President sense George Washington. He was a business man— not a politician. He learns fast.

I do not know where you are going to find an honest book on Pinochet. The left hates him with a purple passion despite all that he accomplished for the country. Supposedly, he made about 2000 people disappear. That's what they say.

A good friend of mine is married to the daughter of a former Chilean diplomat. They have quite a different view of the man, needless to say. They view him as a sort of national savior, not quite like a George Washington, but certainly on par with how the average American in flyover country views Ronald Reagan.

He saved Chile from becoming Venezuela.

That should be worth a lot.

No doubt AOC and Maduro are cut from the same cloth. If they were related; it sure wouldn’t surprise me.

Rat’s of a feather flock* together.
