He's playing it both ways, and I see right through it.

He didn't pass the CR that the GOP-controlled House passed just before Christmas, either.

He doesn't have 50 votes to pass a bill with the border security funding. Wake up. This is the "ObamaCare repeal" bullsh!t all over again.

-—It’s not a joke to say Republicans have an uncanny knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.-—

Nor is it an exaggeration.

They keep forgetting Trump is waiting for a 15 minute meeting with the dems that can fix it all - if the Dems are really serious....

(one necessitating a 600 mile relocation and eight month family separation) my sympathy meter is pegged at zero.

No one said a word about all the coal workers that lost their jobs, lost their livihoods. They were told go home and die because coal is not coming back.

Not sure if I ever saw a story about the hard luck of possibly a million coal miners and the loss of their jobs forever, thanks to Obama's EPA and HRC saying, "I am going to put all the coal workers out of business!"

The furloughed workers are not going to look to Trump, they’re going to plead to their Democrat Congressmen to open negotiations, because that’s who they relate to and who they believe will be most sympathetic to their plight.

And they’re right, that’s what will cause the Dems to cave.

Now, that IS depressing.

With the 53 vote majority they can afford to lose 3, with Pence breaking the tie. Who are the likely quislings? Collins, Murkowski, for sure. Romney? maybe.

You’re probably correct, I must have missed someone.

Sen. Gardner (CO) will be first on the list.

Well, not all were retirements, many decided not to run or finish out their terms. I really feel they were paid not to run again in order to lose the house so Repubs could then say, hey we tried to pass bills the President wanted, the people wanted, but we lost.

I found it strange that when Trump won, we had a major surge in Repbs deciding not to re-run, finish their terms, to retire. It was done to hurt the President. Funny, they didn’t do that when Obama was President. They stayed and gave that President everything and more sometimes then he asked for. Our party betrayed us, this country, and our President.

In California, they didn’t even fight the fraud in the elections when they were clearly winning, won, they just folded and walked away.

“He didn’t pass the CR that the GOP-controlled House passed just before Christmas, either.”

He had Flake and Corker. That was 49.

If the GOP only needs 10 votes in the Senate instead of 50 or 60, you can be damn sure they'd come up with an excuse why only 9 of them support it.

The major donors to the GOP don't want to curtail immigration. Trump is exposing a huge chasm between GOP voters and GOP donors here.
