Don’t bother. The piano was never loud enough. No matter how hard he pounded on it, Ludwig could barely hear the thing! :-)

I always think that Beethoven’s Hammerklavier sonata starts off super loud so that if he heard someone play it he could tell the pianist had actually begun.
