A sculpture celebrating Saudi Arabias place in the G20 Summit was erected on the World Trade Center grounds last week, a stones throw away from the 9/11 memorial.
Shaped to resemble a piece of candy, the nine-foot-tall statue bears the Kingdoms emerald flag emblazoned with the Arabic inscription, There is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is the prophet. It was created by French sculptor Laurence Jenkell in 2011 as part of the larger installation Candy Nation which depicts G20 countries as sugary delights, and has since been featured in over 25 countries. All 20 sculptures are currently on display outside the Oculus shopping center.

Wow. So Saudi Arabia, which has been linked to at least some of the 9/11 terrorists, has been allowed to write in their candy statue
There is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is the prophet. ...
'The installation was curated and installed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. ' This statue has been placed right at the World Trade center, at the site of the attack on "ground zero."
How is this even possible? I guess the people in charge of the New York and New Jersey Port of Authority don't realize how improper this is?
The attack on the world trade center was done in the name of the same "god."
Never mind that a message about the God of the bible, Elohim, would have never been allowed, but this one was allowed? How does this make any sense? More so conveying the message that "there is no other god"? ...
Fake news.
What a deceptive headline.
It’s only one of twenty sculptures, and it’s NOT on Ground Zero.
THIS is what Allah looks like? Wrapped taffy?
Isn’t depiction of any supernatural being prohibited by the words of the Koran?
A stray, accidental sledge hammer would solve it...where are the conservative Jews? Someone let Savage know. I’ve posted about 25 things to Contact the Whitehouse...Someone else pleas do this one. ACLU???
To be clear wherever the Saudi flag flies or is displayed it has the Shahada on both sides of the flag.
Yeah. and the “Sword of Allah”.
Which puts to rest the Religion of Peace trope.
Shows EXACTLY how Islam spread from Mohammed on....
Not all Muslims are evil but the version of Islam promoted by Wahhabi Saudi Arabia,
Shiite Iran and other contemporary radical Islamistist movements is Satanic and evil.
Christianity evolved beyond Conquistadors, the Requerimiento and the Inquisition which were all incompatible with Christ’s message anyway. The problem with Islam comes from the very words of the Quran.
Defacing this statue should become a tradition, even a rite of passage. If New Yorkers don’t seriously vandalize this statue then I have lost all respect for them.
Perfect place to have your dog relieve himself.

Yep, that’s the demons...of course I was calling them out for not doing their job.
Not all Muslims are evil
...........
Which one’s aren’t?
Still would offend the heck out of the Muslims. If the artist just put up a verse from the Koran they would have no problem with it. But this is the Saudi flag, something they take seriously.
And when the Sword of Allah be upon them, they will denounce their infidel friends and watch them die.
Not being evil is not an option for any muslim.
1st Corinthians 8 verse 4...
We know that the idol is nothing in the world, and there is none other God but one.
Allah is a false idol.
If I remember correctly, every time there is a murder of a jew in Israel, a building destroyed by moslems in NYC or orher cities, the moslems celebrate by handing out candy and sweets.
Sorry Buck-o, you have been drinking too much of the liberal kool-aid.
In fact there are only two kinds of muslim: those who want you dead and the rest who support those who want you dead.
Come to think of it ... that sounds a lot like what we hear from the left these days.
