“She is back in New York.”
Which is where every filthy liberal belongs.
“She would retire, if she had any sense.”
Is it too late for her to get a hobby...other than trying to destroy the country?
“Same with WWII Army Air Corps. They are punks next to real ground combat infantry.”
I don’t think the B 17 crews over Germany who caught 20mm’s or flak 88’s share that notion. Interservice rivalry is okay at football games but otherwise to me everyone who wears the uniform is a comrade in arms to die for.
USAF vet
“Shes been done for a long time but her kind of evil stinks even from the grave.”
Her sulfur smell is all over the country.
They were nothing next to D Day or Marines who invaded the Pacific Islands. Had an uncle who ran his mouth about his B-17 missions. I told him you have never been in real combat. The B17 losses were nothing next to SOG.
I wish I had known my uncle Art better.
He was navigator on a B17 that was shot down after a raid over Germany in January of 1944. He was one of only three out of the crew of ten to survive the crash. He spent well over a year in a POW camp before being liberated.
You should study up on what it was like flying daytime bombing raids over Germany. I think I read that the odds of surviving the required 25 missions was around 50%.
Killing a man by dropping a bomb from several thousand feet or higher is not like killing a man and looking him straight in the eye. When you stand over a man and either you pull the trigger or one of your men puts a bullet through his heart “you take away all his hopes, dreams, plus it effects his family.” Dropping bombs from several thousand feet above or higher is not the same. Over 6K Army Air Corps died in training. I told my uncle straight to his face. “ You have never really killed a man.”
Dropping bombs is not like looking a man in the eye and killing him.
I said it to my uncle’s face as dropping a bomb from several thousand feet or higher is not like looking a man in the eye a killing him. Come on and bring more then your hands big mouth.
I said you have never really seen combat to my uncle’s face as dropping a bomb from several thousand feet or higher is not like looking a man in the eye and killing him. Being in a plane when a SAM hits is no different then a mortar round or 122mm rocket. It is not up close. Come on and bring more then your hands big mouth.
You think all those 50 caliber machineguns on each B17 were just for show? The horror of war is not limited to killing the enemy. It also consists of seeing your comrades killed. There was plenty of that for B17 pilots over Germany.
And tell me where you saw combat and intestines falling out of a man’s abdomen and others missing body parts plus six-10 of your men dead many times? Tell me about your 50 caliber air to air combat? We had the 20th SOS fly for us. James P. Flemming received the CMH for rescuing a recon team of ours on 26 Nov 68. Yes, later I also flew with the FAC. We needed our gunships, but; we had no TAC Air in Cambodia except on rare occasions.
