Characters behind legal twists of Trump-Russia probe a tangled maze of Washington establishment

At a Monday hearing, Judge Friedrich vented — and defended Mr. Mueller.

“Meritless personal attacks on the special counsel, his attorneys, other members of the trial team, and firewall counsel will play no role in my decision on your motion, nor will inappropriate and what you clearly believe to be clever quotes from movies, cartoons, and elsewhere,” the judge said. “Your strategy is ineffective. It’s undermining your credibility in this courthouse. I will say it plain and simple: Knock it off.”

Mr. Dubelier didn’t back off. The next day, he filed a brief accusing Judge Friedrich of triggering a wave of hate messages in emails and voicemails against him and his co-counsel.

“For a reason unknown to undersigned counsel, the [c]ourt [judge] took it upon itself to defend the special counsel, creating at a minimum an appearance of bias or prejudice in favor of the government,” he said.

There is plenty of good info in this review article.

Judge Friedrich is looking very conflicted and hostile to Trump/MAGA, even though she happens to be a Trump appointee to the federal bench.

Cut her some slack. They probably have video of her and a few corpses having lunch.

From the very beginning the secretaries and advisors to our President have surrounded him with compromised and quietly and sometimes not so quietly opposing voices. Condi Rice, Chris Christie and Pribus whatever-his-name-was were steering Bushy types into powerful positions and thwarting our President in his efforts to clean out the garbage. Our President accepts people at their word and gives them a chance but these career snakes and backstabbers have done him a great disservice and prevented him from fully achieving his goals.

Deadwood senators, retired CEOs and long time generals are not the kind of folks who will climb aboard and follow his orders. The weakest part of the Trump administration are the people who are recommended to our President as good candidates to serve in public service.

Isn't there a single go_ dam_ AAG out there in Kansas, Nebraska or Oklahoma somewhere who wasn't best buddies with Mueller, Comey or RosenTwat in the past? Somewhere between 1/3 or 1/2 were replaced when Trump came in but were they ALL selected from a pool of DemonRat stooges? Why for the love of go_ do we need to drag up an old Bush League dinosaur who is close, personal friends with the Presidents nemesis, Robert Mueller as our new attorney general?

There wasn't a single qualified FBI agent around who could do a far, far better job than the openly antagonistic Director Frey?

PDJT is a great man with a true heart for the future of America, but his choice of advisors, secretaries, attorneys and counselors has been sadly lacking, chiefly because the people closest to him in the administration are not on the same page. That is very sad for him and for the future of America.

You are spot on. Trump is being betrayed with these judge recommendations he has been getting. This isn’t an isolated case either. Larry Klayman says that he is 0 for 3 with 3 different Trump judges. If you recall in one of the debates Trump said his biggest flaw was that “I trust people too much”. And boy did they exploit that one.
