The United States has implemented this type of security in the past, after all.

I have done a fair bit of flying, and I have never had a TSA agent who was not courteous and efficient. This should not be an ad hominem issue.

I do believe that when there is no good reason for the government to absorb a function which the private sector can do as well or better, then the gov should get out of the way. That is the conservative view point, not personal attacks.
