How can a president deliver a speech declaring that there’s a national-security crisis at our border and that it must be solved by a wall, and then spend day after day not taking steps to build the wall, even though he has the power to do so through an Executive Order?
Trump knows that Chuck and Nancy won’t negotiate; he knows that Republican Senators are plotting to take the issue away from him by dealing with the Democrats themselves; he knows that out-of-work government employees will soon be accusing him of starving their families to death.
You can’t yell “Fire!” and then not call the Fire Department to put it out.
It’s time for Trump to call the Army Corps of Engineers and get the wall started.
The last thing we need is for Trump to suddenly develop doubts and turn into Hamlet — To build the wall, or not to build the wall — which he seems to be doing.
He got most of America on his side.
Well the ones who pay their taxes and who are actual citizens.
