Grahamnesty is ALWAYS about amnesty
1. Trump declares emergency and funds the border wall through the Pentagon and other agencies.
2. House and Senate pass budget bills without the $5 billion for the wall because it isn't needed anymore.
3. Trump signs the bills and everyone goes back to work.
Stephen Miller will kill any such deal. Grahamnesty should not be trusted. He is still pushing the McCain agenda.
Agreeing to a Dreamer deal would be bad in and of itself, but to do so for only $5.7B rather than the full price of the wall plus 10% would be asinine.

The most conservative Republicans have had a great deal planned for a long time. It would include the wall and other border security improvements, *the diversity lottery being stopped,* a decrease in family-based immigration to only members of nuclear families (American sponsors’ spouses and kids only) and other good measures. And yes, it would include many of those who already grew up here since childhood staying, *but that’s going to happen anyway.*
Most people want that deal. But some of the noisier political folks want no deal at all and want open borders while pretending to want all immigration stopped. We recognize several of them as open borders libertarians who have taken it upon themselves to stop any deal from happening. They’re so *concerned,* you know.
I have a sickening feeling that we are gong to get screwed again as always like Lucy and the football.
The wall first. Then the diversity lottery. Republicans have been losing to Democrat incrementalism for a couple of generations. It’s time to learn to beat them at their own game. And don’t listen to the Rand followers. They want open borders, and they’re trying to get what they want by inciting others to stop any deal from happening. Trust President Trump’s people to get the best deal that you can get. If you want more than that later, take the House from the Democrats in 2020.
Why wasn’t fence stipulated in Secure Fence Act of 2006 built?
...Here’s the bottom line. Back in 2006, the people of the U.S. were promised a two-layered high-tech Mexican border fence, Thanks to Kay Bailey Hutchison and Barack Obama 95% of the barrier wasn’t built. The arguments against the Trump wall are totally bogus especially if you look at Israel’s history.
Now Donald Trump has promised America a border wall, and that same amendment that allowed the Obama administration to downgrade the required double-layered fencing enables the Trump Administration to upgrade from a fence to a 30-foot-tall wall. All he needs is funding.
It’s time for America to get the border barrier we were promised. No one can honestly say it won’t work. It worked in Israel, and it’s never been tried here. The Democrats must stop obstructing, our future depends on it.

Graham and Collins' fulsome support for Justice Kavanaugh was just to set the stage for this not unexpected RINO move, a softening of the ground, so to speak. I could feel it in my bones when it happened.
