House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused President Trump Thursday of a set-up in their meeting a day earlier, when the president walked out after she told him she’ll never allow him funding for his border wall.
Mrs. Pelosi also questioned the president’s motives, saying he’s negotiating from a position of weakness.
“I don’t even know if the president wants the wall. He wants a debate on the wall,” she said.
The California Democrat has said she would allow a single dollar to go to the wall if it ended the shutdown but has said the president’s current $5.7 billion request is a no-go.
Mrs. Pelosi also said the border fight is not about national security.
“It really isn’t,” she said.

Or, maybe, it was a trap. If so, it had many bells and whistles warning Nanzi not to enter it...and the senile old crone did so anyway. She still hasn’t realized that she isn’t dealing with W, McCain or Romney. Trump is smarter, more resourceful and more aggressive than her, and also has a secret weapon: he simply doesn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone thinks of him. That’s a luxury you get when you’re 70+, and is considerably reinforced by having a net worth of $5 billion or so. Nanzi is playing WAY out of her league.

She told him she’d never negotiate with him, so what’s the point of continuing the meeting? I don’t blame him for walking out of something that was a complete waste of time.

Face it, Nancy is over the hill, she is so far over her head it’s not even funny. Watching her is like watching a woman with demitasse in an old age home

Nancy, projection is not just something that happens in a movie theater.
It was a set-up. He wanted her on the record saying “No $$ For you, and your wall”.
Now he will have to go it alone utilizing all potential funding sources and methods and because they have said NO, he will work for it and get HUGE credit.

They need to understand that trump is not a politician. He’s a businessman. When you say there is no way that you will accept his single request, there is nothing to talk about. The next step is to find a suitable horse and buy a large hack saw.
Only then can negotiations continue. He’ll get back to her when he’s ready - and he knows she will be too.
Your point is well taken. However, I don’t think Nancy gives a rat’s ass either. She’ll be voted into office long after she dies. She is the Queen of the Dems and can do no wrong, even when she is doing wrong.
