Billionaire investor and Democratic activist Tom Steyer said Wednesday that he will not run for the White House in 2020 and will instead focus on calling for President Donald Trump’s impeachment.
Steyer, who has spent $50 million on his Need to Impeach campaign and announced plans to spend $40 million more this year, said at an event in Des Moines that “the impeachment question has reached an inflection point,” given that Democrats have taken majority control of the House.
“I said last year that I’m willing to do whatever I can to protect our country from this reckless, lawless and dangerous president,” Steyer said. “Therefore, I will be dedicating 100 percent of my time, effort and resources working for Mr. Trump’s impeachment and removal from office. I am not running for president at this time.”
Steyer said his $40 million commitment for 2019 was designed to pressure the Democratic-controlled House to begin impeachment hearings and to persuade the party’s presidential contenders to support impeachment on their platform. …

Attacking the principle of “consent of the governed”. It’s a principle from the preamble to the Declaration of Indepence. And the left hates it, like so much of the foundation for our government.
When the left wins, “elections have consequences”. When conservatives win, they do whatever they can to keep the people from giving consent to be governed until the next election. That’s not how democracy works. But they don’t want democracy. And many “conservatives” agree (Flake, Romney, Ryan, etc.)
All of that money will increase Trump’s economic numbers!!!

I see his stupid commercial every morning during the local morning “news”. I can’t believe this is actually allowed to air on TV. It is nothing but slander, hyperbole, and outright lies.
I’d love to see a GoFundMe to raise a couple million to make an ad just like it, about Steyer. Then if they refuse to air it, we could sue the network.
Just think what he could do with that money instead of just pouring it down the drain. Steyer could make a real difference. Sad.
Substituting “the left” and “conservatives” for Democrats and Republicans respectively is not correct. Both parties are rife with leftists. Rarely do conservatives win.

That guy never seems to run out of money for leftist causes. If the Republicans had the high tech and Hollywood money that’s going to the Democrats, they’d be doing much better with the voters.
