Journalists have always been liars, even back during the days of Randolph Hearst. The biggest lie they ever told was convincing so much of the public that the days of yellow journalism were over and that the news became impartial and objective.

I was just reading about Hearst on This Day in History. He tried to stop Citizen Kane.
