Clarification:
Gabon govt says the coup in Gabon has been put down. (Multiple sources.) Its hard to know if thats it or if they are in Round 1 of many, but the apparent leader of the coup is a Lieutenant Kelly Ondo Obiang. Without some Generals along for the ride...
I hear Kaci Hickox is available...
I thoroughly agree.
Hmmm
Every time I’m near a street corner, I look both ways in case one thing is chasing another.
It’s just a good idea since the spacecraft all landed.
So we’re going to send troops over there to get caught up in Ebola-infested electoral violence, rather than simply blocking inbound flights from Congo?
Sheeeeeeeeee, might as well not build a wall, either.
Maybe some filoviruses to spread around?
Good. I hope you’re right. I am so wary of intervention nowadays, but protecting OUR OWN personal in the Congo is good.
I am wary of that too. Not a fan of it at all. But I’m with you on protecting our personnel. I would also consider something like Ebola to be a real national threat.
We’ve been in the “jet age” for quite a while now and the number of people jetting around the globe has probably never been higher. Given the potential of Ebola and virulent diseases like it protecting citizens who are there to deal with it seems reasonable to me.
The new physical security is being slowly built (wall and all). If people want to see the process go faster, we need a better House of Representatives, to hold the line on the Senate (or increase the majority) and reelect President Trump. It’s all up to how active conservative voters are with funding and campaigns. Always was.
