A key point of contention was the collaboration between the mosque and Yad Vashem, a Jewish organisation that focuses on preserving the memory of the holocaust.
The exhibition at the London mosque, which was devoted to Muslims who helped save Jewish lives during the Holocaust, has been cancelled without an official explanation, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) reported. The cancellation of the event, held by the Centre for Islamic Understanding in Golders Green, was preceded by Muslim protests that were largely fuelled by statements of Roshan Salih, the editor of a Muslim media outlet called "5 Pillars."
The man slammed the organisers of the exhibition for preparing it "in conjunction with Israeli oppressors ", suggesting that the Centre shouldn't have done it in collaboration with Yad Vashem, a Jewish holocaust memorial organisation. Salih praised the mosque for "responding to community concerns" and cancelling the event.

Let’s put more of them in Congress.
The Albanian SS was all muslim and they saved many a Jew from the gas chambers ...before they could be gassed, they shot them. Where’s their honorable mentions?
I guess they couldn't locate any actual Muslims who did so, and thus narrative failed.
Albania was under Italian control during the Second World War (at least until Italy switched sides). Bosnia was divided between German and Italian occupation zones and there were Bosnian Muslims who formed an SS unit, IIRC. Jews had lived in Bosnia for hundreds of years and I would be surprised if there were cases where a Bosnian Muslim saved the life of a Jewish neighbor.
I would not be surprised if there were cases where a Bosnian Muslim saved the life of a Jewish neighbor.
A lot of people don’t realize that this level of rabid hatred of Jews by Muslims only really only started after WW2. Pretty much until the 1950s, Jews are scattered all over the Middle East. They probably weren’t liked much by the Arabs, but they were still able to live side-by-side.
I’m not sure what really caused this recent level of hatred - perhaps the creation of Israel, the Soviets needing allies, or the Saudi ruling family, plus, more recently, Iran. Probably everything.
Mustafa Hardaga, for one.
Nah.
Plenty of persecution of Jews in Islam from the start. There were just some periods of relative security for Jews under some Islamic rulers.
In recent pre-Zionist times, there were things like the 1840 Damascus Blood Libel and the 1834 Safed pogrom.
There is a lot more to this than meets the eye.
Something that makes Islamists very afraid is any break with the absolutism that “Muslims good/Jews bad”. Because if there are *any* good Jews, then the wholesale hatred of Jews must be questioned.
Likewise, if *any* Muslim works to support *any* Jew, this means that in the opinion of the Muslim, that Jew is good.
So this also means that there are “good Muslims” and “bad Muslims.” And for that idea to arise could mean the end of Islamism, because Muslims might start to ask, “What is a good and bad Muslim?”
And that is a path to non-violence. Without absolutism, violent jihad collapses under its own weight. The brutality and savagery Muslim fanatics exhibit against *everyone* else, even other Muslims, needs to be questioned.
But Islamists are so incredibly intolerant, and whimsically so, that they think they have free license to torture and murder *anyone* not as fanatical as they are.
As always, truth gets in the way of the agenda.

Round up all these scum and get them the hell OUT of here!
