Interesting to note that there have not been the usual strong denials from the State Department regarding allegations that this guy was a spook. The, thus far, circumstantial evidence is making me think the Russians may have actually arrested somebody on legit grounds. If so, am sure it was an accident.

the article goes more in depth, but he was known to the Ruskies for some time - having been a frequenter of a specific Russian social internet group or site. I doubt he’s ours, tho, unless he’s a dark player. The DD locked on him would have gone away otherwise. His bad judgement and possible sense of resentment would however, make him good bait for a third player. There’s a reason Russia named the specific social site. All speculation on my part of course.
