Was she joking when she made this comment (regarding giving people the wrong medication)?
In more than 30 years in the medical field, working with all sorts of people, I’ve never once heard anyone “joke” about deliberately giving anyone the wrong medication. That simply is not a joking matter. Ever. (And medical people are known for “dark humor.”)
The Cleveland Clinic got rid of her as quickly as they could, which was appropriate. She is licensed by the state (maybe more than one state) and the Medical Board in that state or states has to make the determination to pull her license. I expect to see that happen.
Unlike nurses, doctors who lose a license in one state often go to another state and become licensed. (Nurses who lose a license in one state aren’t going to be able to obtain a license in any other state). I expect that she will be an exception to this.
She’s not just evil, she’s stupid.
I wonder if she planned this whole episode in order to claim that discrimination against Muslims exists in the medical profession.
Never heard of anyone joking about harming a person by deliberately hurting a patient. I don’t even remember a student back in my college days of anyone saying they wished to harm a patient. Medicine is serious life and death work. Not as many years as you but if anyone said or wrote something like that it would be taken to the highest levels. This is a very disturbing story.
