Why does everyone in government think they are a stand-up comic?
Why can no one in government make a statement without some kind of lame one-liner?
It’s not a one-liner in the comedic sense.
He’s an attorney.
It’s a compound statement. It has more than one purpose.
In that one statement, he succinctly conveyed the message that, 1. reminds the public that these two were having an illicit affair (Strozk is married) and cannot be trusted and 2. that they used their government-issued phones to text OBSESSIVELY but not about their mutual “love” interest but about their mutual “hate” interest, and that much of that texting centered around how to implement a soft coup to unseat a duly elected president.
I have no problem with his statement.
