Today we teach children how to have sex with each other and every other living or dead creature, so they can have safe sex. But God help you if you try and teach a child how to properly handle a weapon!

The only safe way is to treat ALL weapons as if they are LOADED at ALL times, even if they are not loaded.

That way you don’t make a mistake.

There’s nothing stopping you from teaching your kid how to handle a gun or the opposite sex.

You just have to do it at home and not rely on the schools.

I find that responsible adult shooting parents are very caregul about teaching their kids weapons handling. 10 is our magic number.

That being said, it sounds like the boys were unattended...with a new gun. That’s almost a certain sideways incident. Through no intential plotting of evil, someone got shot.

Yep, the boys were too young to be unsupervised with guns. But, before we hang the parents for not being there....I bet the parents had no idea their gun was going to be featured at a show-and-tell. Awful tragic ACCIDENT.
