Seems she sailed right to the top over some better qualified men. The men aren’t taking it well, but they need to get used to it. I saw the same thing at a government agency where I once worked. Black females, who even had problems with English, promoted over better qualified men. This is not going to change.
I see this in my job as well, and it just lowers the bar for everyone. When money and titles are thrown at tokens, then everyone gets to downshift to low - nobody can complain when the incompetent “boss” works the bare minimum.
Make the most of it, and enjoy the end of the 60 hour workweek; I’ve dropped a full unpaid “day” of work from my workweek.
