Next month, you Freepers may want to avoid South Chicago, East Saint Louis, Watts, South Dallas, Miami, Harlem, Baltimore ... ans similar locations!
Cool. Keep the shutdown on.
Food stamps are mandatory federal spending, as in theyve already been covered under a separate law, and they are not part of the USDAs discretionary appropriated budget.
Happy New Year..!..!..!
Bummer for them, no beer, cigs, or drugs for a while.
Didn’t CONgress or the courts void Trump’s work requirement. Guess the wards of the State might actually want to start thinking about work now!
In my world the only thing you get is rice, beans, cheese,,oranges, chicken, bottled water.
And unless you are truly handicapped ..only for 3 month.
Unless you are NOT a citizen.
In that case you can have a job..if you want one.
Otherwise everything is “free”!
Regarding so-called federal food stamp money, patriots are reminded of the following. The Constitutions silence on this issue means that feeding the poor is uniquely a state power issue, not the business of the feds. This is evidenced by the following excerpts from the writings of previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting Supreme Court justices and a constitutional lawmaker.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"The power to regulate manufactures, not having been confided to congress, they have no more right to act upon it, than they have to interfere with the systems of education, the poor laws, or the road laws, of the states [emphasis added]. Congress is empowered to lay taxes for revenue, it is true; but there is no power to encourage, protect, or meddle with manufactures." Joseph Story, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1, Commentaries on the Constitution 2
... the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Federal Constitution, is in the States, and not in the Federal Government [emphases added]. Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe, 1866. (See about middle of 3rd column.)
"It is one of the happy incidents of the federal system that a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose, serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country. Justice Brandeis, Laboratories of democracy.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
The problem is that the states rely on federal assistance to feed the poor because the unconstitutionally big, post-17th Amendment ratification federal government keeps stealing state revenues by means of unconstitutional federal taxes evidenced by the Gibbon v. Ogden excerpt above.
The bottom line is that crook Democratic and RINO federal lawmakers are stealing state revenues to buy the votes of food stamp recipients to help them stay in power imo.
"The Holy Grail of organized crime is to control government power to tax." me
"The constitutionally undefined political parties are basically competing, corrupt voter unions, union dues paid by means of unconstitutional federal taxes. me
"The smart crooks long ago figured out that getting themselves elected to federal office to make unconstitutional tax laws to fill their pockets is a much easier way to make a living than robbing banks." me
"Federal career lawmakers probably laugh all the way to the bank to deposit bribes for putting loopholes for the rich and corporations in tax appropriations laws, Congress actually not having the express constitutional authority to make most appropriations laws where domestic policy is concerned. Such laws are based on stolen state powers and uniquely associated stolen state revenues." me
OMG...some might actually have to go to work!! Imagine the horror!!
Please, Nancy, you need to stay in Hawaii a while longer.
MEMPHIS, NASHVILLE, KNOXVILLE.
Better Stock up on non perishable food instead of LOTO tickets, Beer, and Cigs and JUNK FOOD then.
Oh how I do hope this happens. Even the prospect of it will cause unmitigated panic.
Wait for it.
For frosting, cut off the heat and lights in any riot areas.
This will be fun to watch.
If that scenario were to unfold, there is no telling what could happen.
It bettet not. I’m already getting a little low on porterhouse steaks.
