I went to the first "Woodstock II" in 1994... it was actually quite amazing. The lineup was once in a lifetime.

by the grace of God a couple of us were there offering evangelical gospel tracts in what turned out to be "Mudstock." We got in after security walked off (I was manning a South gate for a while) and the gates were opened (after promoters had made their money I think,. being sold out).

Even Howard Johnson's ran out of food, and a sudden change to very cool temps made it hard for the crowd. Very receptive crowd for us. Wish more believers were there to give the word of God out.

Thanks for the post. I'm Catholic and a music player/lover, so I wouldn't have been there to have Protestants read the bible to me. I went for Metallica, The Chili Peppers, Dylan and a lot of the other great bands.

Yep, I remember the cold front that came in and the stupid techno-raves that kept everyone awake all night.

“Howard Johnson’s ran out of food”

Mmmmm... memories of fried clams.
