How much of TV advertising is fake? Turns out a lot of it actually- yet we survived as a society just fine- most everyone learns to weed through the hype- Fake Internet crap isn’t going to destroy humanity- only the most gullible will fall for the crap- just like the most gullible will fall for TV ads- don’t see the left all up in arms over TV ads

That's not the type of fake he's talking about, though. TV advertising might be mostly falsehoods, but the products being advertised really exist.

He's talking about internet traffic from people who don't exist. How do you know I'm not a 'bot? Do you know I'm not a 'bot?

How much of TV advertising is fake?

Claims made for products may be fake, but TV advertising is expensive, so most likely there actually is a product and a company behind it, and in most cases, the company will still be around next week. Producing internet content is cheaper, so the possibilities for fraud are greater.

Not to mention all fake remedies on the shelves of costco, sams, CVS, walgreens, walmart ....
