What would they have her wear, spiked heels? In fact it really doesn't matter - and that's the point. Anything the President or First Lady does, says, wears, etc. will be wrong. The leftist/fascist mainstream media will find some angle, some spin, some way to criticize. Even better (worse), they will make this over-inflated and undeserved criticism seem like the end of the world as we know it.
Spending four grand on boots should be a felony.

I don't want to take a cheap shot, but if she'd heard of the movie and musical Kinky Boots, she might not have worn those books and showed them off. As I understand it, the story runs pretty close to the worst things people say about her.

I saw a Facebook post saying that the reason liberals hated Melania’s boots is because they can’t stand anything that resembles work boots.
