Go study the PJM plans I listed. There are equivalent plans for each RTO (Look that term up too) in the event of another magnetic storm event.

I did go and read the book.
I do believe we are very vulnerable but, I don't believe that every computer controlled car would be effected.
They lack a grounding source for current to follow.

I am a mechanic and I guess I would be like the hippie in the book who kept the cars going that were still running.

I still don't see how electricity could go bounding through the atmosphere frying electronics in cars and not harm our electrical systems that run our hearts.

Would it just be like getting zapped by an ignition wire.
50k volts without any amperage. You feel it but live.

I have done that hundreds of times. Lol.

AND I do recommend that book!

Great comments. I agree. Thanks for taking the time to read the book. There are two more books in the series but, IMHO, neither are as good as the first one.
