Former Clinton adviser Doug Schoen agreed with outgoing Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill's (Mo.) recent criticism of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, arguing the soon-to-be-freshman lawmaker should not be the new face of the party.

Responding on "The Five," Schoen said that he'd prefer if the 29-year-old Bronx native would "just go away" because of her far-left positions, emphasizing Democrats need to win over moderate voters to defeat President Trump in 2020.
"I hope Nancy Pelosi gets to her and says she'd do better for herself to be silent for a while, because she is not the face or the voice of the Democratic Party that I grew up with, know and continue to support," he said.

Schoen wants to curtail Alexandria’s freedom of speech. This is outrageous. Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters and other members of the moderate wing of the Democratic Party will have to make room for her. She’s the future of the Democratic Party that no longer needs to conceal what it’s all about. She may even be Bernie Sander’s running mate. One day they will attain power. It’s time to start learning Chinese.

Correct, she just represents the actual democrat base. The so-called “moderates” just lie about their positions to try and win votes.
They’re all scum. The left has moved far-left and has taken over the party. Nancy just wants to hide this fact.
Perhaps, but every time OC opens her mouth, it takes the spotlight off Pelosi’s misdeeds.
There was an absolutely clear message in her primary victory over the incumbent Democrat. The old White men (and women) who run the Democrat party aren't wanted or needed anymore.
O-C will be around as long as her backers want her on the stage. She is young, moderately pretty, and will say what they want her to say. Even her stupid gaffes do not really hurt her appeal to her base. Many of them are equally stupid, others simply do not care because she has the correct gender and ethnic background to fit their narratives.
The opinions of Republicans, or even the traditional working-class Democrat men do not matter one bit either.
This will turn out poorly for everyone.

Aw, just let her keep on shooting her mouth off. People are already starting to get sick of her. She will die back when the media realizes what they are doing with her. Until then, just grin and bear it.
