Did Trump’s father pull strings to keep him from being drafted? Very probably. As did Bush 41 for his son. Slick Willy also dodged the draft and I don’t recall the Times making a big deal out of it. Not saying any of it was right. But it was not unusual at the time. The bottom line is that it was almost a half century ago and it’s time to move on. I’ve got a few issues with all of the above listed POTUSes... how they evaded service in Nam aint on that list.

Unlikely because George Bush flew the Convair F-102 Delta Dagger Interceptor which was an extremely dangerous aircraft even just flying on patrol. The Air Force also had "Palace Alert" program to send F-102s to Vietnam which Bush and a friend asked about, however they just weren't sending that type of craft because that kind of fighting wasn't needed and the war was winding down.

George W Bush was an amnesty RINO idiot but I'll say this for him; it appears to me he served honorably to defend our nation.
