And with the rise of the ability to easily manipulate those, that is going to put our faith in visual media in jeopardy.”

The broadest part of this link is an embedded news story about the evolution of computer video capabilities to alter and to manufacture what looks like valid video.

Beyond infantilizing the fake news media, the more insidious and certain outcome of this technology will be for the federal government to manufacture incriminating video of somebody engaging in unlawful behavior. It will soon become easy to target critics with arrests and create in a computer, the evidence to silence them through imprisonment.

Stories like this also preempt actual videos from being seen as credible and therefore damaging. Methinks there’s some HRC video out there that will need to be debunked rather swiftly upon release.

And, like all new technologies it’ll soon be available to the masses.

Cheap.

Thus rendering all video fake. Everything you see on the TV or Internet will be, at best, suspect.

How will they then control what we think?

Like the "manipulated and fake video" lies against Project Veritas videos.
