Founding fathers opposed such tests and deemed them unconstitutional.

They cant get around it.

Someone needs to explain to those morons, separation of church and state does not mean the State has its boot on the throat of the Church. That they even dare ask such a question is a violation of the constitution. That they demand a person leave a religious organization as a prerequisite for a judicial nomination is a violation of the constitution.
