Ever been through a wrecking yard?

They haul burned out cars in almost daily. I’ve never seen a burn-out with even one wheel melted off.

Pranksters frequently set abandoned stalled cars on fire out in the delta and they never seem to even burn the tires off of them, let alone melt the wheels. A melted wheel is a rare sight.

The common factors in those pictures seem to be high winds that creates more intense heat or lots of cars burning together creating the same high intensity heat. Probably the vast majority of cars you saw in the wrecking yard were solo burns extinguished before they burned through all their gas or diesel. Not the same windy conditions or multi-car fires.
