If any of you have had a lot of sun in your earlier days get checked regularlr! In my case it was a dark black spot on my forearm. Wasn't growing fast but had to be removed.

Our personal experience with cancer is to catch it early. As we age if we wish to live a longer life we do need to visit the doctor a bit more often.

Skin cancer - squamous cell carcinoma can occur in your mouth, on your gums. IF caught early just major surgery. If any of these cancer cell escape to your lymph system, your have a countdown clock.

Rod, I am guessing that you may need a PET scan at some point as your tumor was so deep
