What the Chuckster apparently doesn’t realize is the President’s constituents don’t give a rat’s @$$ how long this shut-down-that-isn’t -really-a-shutdown takes.

Open Borders? That is a big loser for 75% of the country.
The obvious reason is they hate President Trump.
That will not fly for most of the country.
It would be deliciously ironic if Chuck were to reach a tragic end as a result of an unfortunate confrontation with an “undocumented immigrant “.

Of course border wall funding won’t pass. Neither party wants it.
Fine. Keep the damn government shut down. And, as other continuing resolutions/funding bills expire, bring down other non-essential departments of government as well.
Think of how much money can be saved over the next two years. There is more than one way to downsize bloated government bureaucracies enroute to a secure border.

Trump should tweet out something to the effect that since Chuck and Nancy shutdown the government (he didn’t veto anything) there’s going to be a cost for them to get it back open. The price this week is $5 billion. After next week it will be $7 billion. If they wait until next year, it will be $10 billion.
