LIVE on the Senate floor: Senators debate the short-term funding bill passed by the House last night. If the bill fails, it will trigger a government shutdown just before the Christmas holiday.
Hope they are saying,Hey chuck,all those millions of dollars in earmarks you keep boasting about on your Senate web page,well that's getting cut off chuck,have a nice day.
Didn’t he swear an oath? Are oaths just something you throw away after you are elected to the U S Senate?
Well at least Schumer is willing to take the meeting. I heard they might offer less than 5 so both sides would claim a win. The problem is the House would have to pass it.

Ages ago I suggested Trump just shut everything down - refuse to sign ANYTHING these useless bastards put in front of him, no matter WHAT it is, until they fund the wall. What are they going to do, impeach him because he won’t sign their bills?
He can win this war by just standing firm. They can’t MAKE him sign something into law, no matter WHAT they do.

As I understand, they have taken up the House bill but won’t vote on it. They’ll wait until a bill is worked out between House,Senate, and WH.
