Gun control has never been about reducing homicide rates. It is always to make oppressing the citizens safer for the oppressors. If every third pre-World War II German raid on private homes was met with gunfire and deaths, how many people would have been saved from the gas chambers?
The French yellow vests are probably being very civilized as I’ll bet there are plenty of illegal guns in private hands. Any people who survived the Nazi occupation would be crazy to turn them in at the end of the war.
France has about 20 privately owned firearms per 100 people. Of those, two thirds are unregistered and thus, illegal.
