The Small Faces drummer was the guy that went with the Who after Keith Moon died. How do you fill Keith Moon’s shoes? You don’t. Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa and John Bonham (I Think) were already dead. Anyway, he was The Who drummer for a few years.
Kenney Jones had an impossible task in replacing Keith, the self-described “greatest Keith Moon-type drummer in the world.” The guy The Who was able to bring in to the band starting with their touring revival of Quadrophenia, however, comes closest to matching him. Thank goodness Zak Starkey learned how to play from Keith and not from his own dad.
