Full Title:

Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker reportedly does not have to recuse himself from Robert Mueller's probe

Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker reportedly will not have to recuse himself from continuing to oversee special counsel Robert Mueller's investigations.

CNN reported that Whitaker, who was appointed last month to temporarily lead the Justice Department, has been told by department ethics officials that he can continue to supervise the probes. The investigations include whether Whitaker's boss, President Donald Trump, tried to obstruct justice in Mueller's inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

CNN said Whitaker would inform senators of the advice from ethics officials later Thursday.

Whitaker should fire the deep state swamp at DOJ on Christmas day

Just do it

The media and DNC will have puppies, he should do it on his own, so Trump can say, he had nothing to do with it.

He would be a hero

Sessions didn’t have to recuse himself either. But he did. How many democrats ever recuse themselves from anything? Funny how recusal only applies to Republicans.

He should intervene and go to court to vacate Flynn’s conviction (based on the FBI’s conclusion that he didn’t lie) and then go to court to vacate Cohen’s campaign-finance convictions (convicted of crimes that are not crimes.)

Did anyone notice that nobody challenged Whitaker when he signed off on the bump stock ban?

He was just fine to approve that....but if he ends the Mueller probe, then he is out of bounds.

WASHINGTON - Top Democrats in the U.S. Senate are sounding alarms about the special counsel’s investigation into possible Russia election meddling, saying President Donald Trump’s pick for the next attorney general, William Barr, could derail the probe.

They are also concerned by reports that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker does not have to recuse himself from overseeing the investigation, even though he repeatedly criticized it.

Is their gingerbread castle aka the DOJ/FBI starting to crumble?

“Whitaker’s potential oversight had been questioned because he was sharply critical of the Mueller probe before he joined the department in 2017 as chief of staff to then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Whitaker suggested the probe that began in May 2017 should end and that the department could starve it of funding.”

Why would he need to recuse himself? He has no conflict of interest.

“Why would he need to recuse himself?”

He shouldn’t.

However, filthy rotten corrupt treasonous Democrats are deathly afraid Whitaker will pull the plug on the Mueller probe and expose the coup participants based on prior comments he made.

Today, is apparently, by the looks of things right now, CHRISTMAS! Thank you, God, for moving President Trump to give us these gifts, today! Pray without ceasing!

“has been told by department ethics officials that he can continue to supervise the probes.”

Seems like we have devolved into a government run by a gaggle of unaccountable committees. The President and the Atty General are eunuchs who have to bow down to these people and ask to be allowed to do their jobs. Just imagine what would ensue, if the AG just went ahead and did his job as he sees fit?

Flynn has not been convicted. He has plead guilty, but Judge Sullivan has not yet accepted the plea and made a finding of “guilty”.
