President Trump does this all the time

How many times have we fell for this?

I learned to just sit back, relax and let it unfold

It is not the end of the world

If it doesn’t work out now, we can try again. But lets see what happens, speculation is our worse enemy sometimes.

As for the design, I actually think the steel slats with a sold top and a round topper so you can’t sit on it is a great idea. The problem with concrete is that is costs more and if they do chip a hole into it would cost a lot of money to repair. Whereas the steel slates are more cost effective to repair when necessary.

If we end up with steel slats vs a solid concrete wall, I would still call it a win. We still won. We got what we wanted. I am not going to dwell on minor design details.

And if we have to call it a “fence” or “barrier” to get it through congress, so be it as well.

My problem with the steel slats is that they will be too easy for some future politician to have removed. They don’t seem permanent enough.

But, yes, I would accept a full wall of that if that is all that can be mustered at this time. I’m not going to be a bitch about it, but at a bare minimum that needs to go up pronto.

I would have really liked to see the type of structure that Israel has. That struck me as effective.
