I was banned in 2016 for six months for noting that Trump was a long-time Democrat and liberal, before he became a Republican and conservative-— and many of his core beliefs tilted left. Trump has accomplished a lot in two years; there’s also a hell of a lot that he could have done that he hasn’t put all that much effort into. Immigration, Second Amendment protections, Planned Parenthood, Voter ID, and PROSECUTING the crimes of the last administration-—— I think we’ll be dead and gone, and so will this country before any of that is addressed.
President Trump has been allover the map politically, the man IS NOT a ideologue. I think he looks at things with a common sense solution which is 99% of what conservatism is.
If you have millions of people entering the country illegally to kill or harm Americans, take their jobs and get on welfare/public assistance, the common sense solution is build a wall (or barrier) and increase border security. Right? That makes sense, its logical. Its how a business man would solve that problem.
When Industry is leaving in droves, and have high unemployment, the solution is to lower taxes on industry, put in place trade tariffs, break or renegotiate trade deals and remove industry hurting regulations. That isn’t how ideologues would have solved this problem, this how a common sense business man would solve that problem.
He is excelling in ares where he doesn’t NEED congress. Unfortunately the areas where he needs congress, he is failing in. Planned Parenthood? Seriously? It was a republican congress, both houses we had, that INCREASED funding to Planned Parenthood, so the Democrats won’t say bad things about them. Bunch of cowards
Voter ID is getting done in many states, the problem with voting isn’t voter ID, it is the mail in/absenttee and after election voting that we don’t have control over, Democrats 2018 run is just the trial run for what they are going to do in 2020.
Immigration, yes he can do more here, for some reason President Trump doesn’t get his full presidential authority here, he needs to just do what he needs to do and tell the judiciary to go pound sand. But I have a feeling he believes these Judges can throw him in jail and that is why he doesn’t challenge him. Remember, he is NOT a politician nor a lawyer.
2nd Amendment, banning bump stocks is dumb, but I believe it will be overturned. I don’t think the 2A is going away, we did maintain the Supreme Court
Judicial appointments, I have been pleased with this. 2 Supreme Court picks already, maybe more, I hope so.
Held the senate and gained two seats, I believe we could have gained more, but it could have been worse. The dems spent two years focused on the house, they did it, hook or by crook.
Prosecuting the crimes of the previous administration, well that is hard when the previous administration is INVESTIGATING you for winning the election. Anything President Trump does will be met with “obstruction” charges, these district court judges have done everything they can to weaken the power of the presidency. Experts have said that the president can’t obstruct justice because he is the chief executive. But I don’t think President Trump understands this or is not being advised that way.
I will vote for President Trump in 2020 either on the ballot or as a write in. I will never vote for a Cruz, Rubio, Graham, Kasich, Jebby, or whomever. I am done with professional snakes like them. And certainly will never vote for dumbocRAT
