President Trump is Not The Issue – It’s Those Who Oppose Him…
theconservativetreehouse.com ^ | 12/19/18 | sundance

Much misplaced anger is visible. President Trump wants the southern border wall; he is being opposed by every interest who doesn’t want it. The people in DC who are opposed to border security, are the people who write the laws. I’m not talking about congress; I’m talking about the real people who actually write the laws, the lobbyists. Right now Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are writing a short-term continuing resolution to fund government and avoid a shutdown.

They know President Trump is quite comfy with a shutdown. Why would republican Mitch McConnell take such an action that puts the republican President in a position of opposition and compromise?

Because he wants to, that’s why.

President Trump said he wouldn’t sign another CR that didn’t fund the border wall. Right now Mitch and Chuck are writing a CR that doesn’t fully fund the border wall. Why would Mitch McConnell do that? Because he want’s to that’s why. UniParty!

Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and Paul Ryan are working to put a take it or leave it bill in front of the President and force him to accept it. Republicans currently control the House and Senate. Why would McConnell and Ryan put President Trump into that position? Because they want to, that’s why.

That’s who you should be mad at, not President Trump.

You see, it’s not President Trump who is the issue here; it’s the people who oppose him. Anger toward President Trump is misplaced; but directing all fire against their enemy is what these Machiavellian sorts are professionals at doing. That’s exactly what this plan is designed to do. This is politics.

Who opposes Trump? The people who write the laws.

Pay attention and stop your sermonizing. Trump told every single rally that he was told to wait until after the election! And now he has not a critical word for the republican leadership?

I have and will support Trump. He had better figure out how to get the wall going or he will lose support and he can’t afford to lose support.

The Democrats and the media give Trump supporters the finger everyday. Does that mean the media advertisement industry gives Trump voters the finger too? It seems it is about stopping Trump from any victory, or helping keep the country secure.

Right! He’s going to lose everything over this. Are some people here forgetting he told the nation a few days ago his plan was a shutdown?

Trump must build the wall, if he expects to win in the next election. The media establishment talking heads, get brownie points for each negative Trump story. The Dems. will do nothing to help Trump succeed. The citizens of this country will suffer because of politics.

This tirade by Sundance does nothing to explain why Trump is opposed to interest rate increases, and pretends that he must be because those who like low rates are his enemy.

A bunch of gobbledygook.

Sadly, Trump is winging it. He has never built a powerful team and worked with them to win. You can hear plenty of that disorder from past and present members of this administration. He can’t possibly have a good team or plan, to do this after that meeting with Pelosi and Schumer!

You’re right, the economy can handle gradual rate increases.

At this point I don’t think he does expect to win the next election.

Because if he thinks his voters are going to tolerate being lied to, he’s got another think coming.

It is like the Bush “read my lips” promise. Trump had the GOP controlled House and Senate and could not fund the wall.
They can send money in foreign aid like it is free candy, but not keep our borders safe?

McConnell obviously threatened POTUS. Told him there will be no shut down and he will work with Schumer to override any CR bill veto.

Congress and K Street is running the swamp on these issues. POTUS is a spectator at this point.

“stop your sermonizing. “

I will do no such thing.

A bunch of you need the online slap to the head, because far too many of you think you are some tough political warriors when you seem to demonstrate an obnoxious tendency to only know how to posture until you encounter difficulty to only then engage in embarrassing histrionics as if the rest of us ought to be impressed.

This is something the left seems to lack.

You pretty well nailed it. There are more weak sisters among pubbies than all the libs combined. Trump is a tactician. This is tactics. The wall is about 20% completed. He is looking for money from other agencies as we speak. He will build the wall if only because he is not the kind of coward represented by bellyachers on this thread. What a bunch of maroons.

Sorry ..... that isn't making sense to me. Are you saying Trump doesn't want low interest rates. If you aren't saying that, your first sentence is "a bunch of gobbledygook".

At this point you have to ask yourself after everything The President has already done .... do we abandon Trust now when it is most important?

If you want to bring torches and pitch forks turn them toward McConnell, Ryan, Schumer, and Pelosi.
