Martha McSally was not a perfect Republican candidate for Senate, and her inability to win an election against an utterly revolting and gaffe-prone leftist such as Kyrsten Sinema in a place like Arizona (which at least on paper doesn’t permit ballot harvesting) doesn’t speak all that well for her.
..........but let’s put her in office anyway instead of a good candidate.
Is there an abnormally high level of retardation in Arizona?
According to LS she was one of the few who wanted the seat. The Governor did not have much of a choice.
She lost an election she should have handily won.
All they’ve done is set the seat up to be won by a Democrat next go round.
All theyve done is set the seat up to be won by a Democrat next go round.

All part of the plan.
Supposedly Trump wanted her.
McSally is politically Ms McCain. It is far more a smack-down of conservatives in Arizona. She has always been the tool of the GOP-E.
PS: I voted for her and tried to get others to vote for her last Oct/Nov. But only because we need as many Republicans in the Senate as possible. The only good news is she faces re-election in 2020 and 2022, so she’ll need to behave for 4 years before she can start acting like herself.
Rumor is Grant Woods and Greg Stanton are interested on the D side.
If the author, Monica Showalter, can't even get the facts straight that the AZ State Constitution calls for the vacancy to be filled by a member of the same party as the previous holder, then I don't know how her other speculation can be given any consideration.
Cindy McCain came out in support of the McSally appointment.
McSally was a shrill, angry, wrinkled RINO who previously bashed Trump. There was no way she would beat the telegenic, perpetually-smiling, hot "bi-sexual" Sinema.
Well, maybe we can have some fun and watch those two duke it out.
I would prefer NEITHER one of them get the nod.
Especially when the Marxists controlled the election, both voting and counting.
Had to be an Amnesty Senator.
She’s willing to be one.
What a joke. McSally is a pro amnesty never Trumper, Cindy is actually happy about this.
I would point out that the radical left in AZ and CA pushed Kyrsten Sinema to the front regardless of her Socialist views slowing her down....she is steps up from the vacuous Ocasio-Cortez but just as Socialist, a fairly common fact these days in once staid 'ol western value Arizona....Martha is more western-value in manner and deed, she lacks the Socialist mantle brought by by new comers and the heavily employed Socialist academia. Welcome Martha.
He should have asked me. I would love to move to some place warm, and I would have Trump’s back.
If the Arpaio and Ward voters had not decided she was not pure enough she would have won. Nothing but contempt for those voters.
We get what we deserve. McSally would still be 50 times better than Sinema but purists rather throw acid on their face. Live with it.
Why is there never any vitriol for the Bush League Republicans who savage their own candidates when they side with the citizens?
It has happened dozens of times.
They join the Democrats to destroy good conservatives.
Save some for them.
