I quit the Boy Scouts in 1954 because, on a weekend camping trip, the Scoutmaster was indoctrinating some of “his” Scouts into homosexual activity.
I was 13, and wanted nothing to do with homosexual activity, (even at that young age, I was REALLY interested in girls!) so I quit the scouts.
I never told my parents why I quit; I have often, over the years, wished I had told them and made a stink about it. At the time, I was too timid, is all I can think.
What you have to understand is that this did NOT begin with admitting openly gay scoutmasters.
That which is not explicitly anti-gay will come to be controlled by gays.
