If Flynn had told Strzok that he talked about sanctions with the Russian ambassador, that would have leaked to the fake news media (a.k.a. enemy of the people) within minutes. It would have been “evidence” of Russia collusion and probably led to impeachment hearings in 2017. Flynn is a hero.

To me the real hero of the Trump Presidency was NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers who didn't’t want to participate in the spying scheme and went to Trump to tell him that Trump Tower was being spied upon by the US Government. That in my mind was what caused Trump to be more careful and caused him to move the location of his transition team. That will go down in history as what saved the Presidency.
yes, LTG Flynn was acting in a ‘bizarre manner,’ he found out that the intel process was being corrupted and informed the DOJ inspector general. He blew the whistle on bh0, while MacCaffery just ‘blue’ bh0.

I think the lie was he said to the Russian: “We can’t talk sanction relief yet” but he told Mueller he didn’t discuss sanctions with the Russians.
That and he is out of money and doesn’t want a full-blown investigation of his son explains the plea.
